So, It's Been Awhile

I realize it's been awhile since I've written anything.  Life has really been biting me in the ass.  Or rather life has been so weird...
Not really feeling like elaborating on that at the moment.  I guess this blog is gonna see a bit of a change in how it will now be a blog about a little bit of everything.  Gonna go for now, but I will be back blogging very soon.  Promise.

Adventures In Gaming: The Sims 100 Baby Challenge

I finally decided this 100 baby challenge wasn't too intimidating after all after watching a few "Let's Play" videos of others working on this challenge.

Deciding to do the 100 Baby Challenge, I also decided that I'd do one on The Sims 3 (TS3) and one on The Sims 4 (TS4).  So far my TS3 game is going way better than my TS4 game.

My progress thus far:

~TS3: 100 Baby Challenge~
•1st Generation•
Matriarch- Kyra Thompson
-Kids-
1) Charlotte
2) Sam
3) Alex
4) Jenna
5) Alyssa
6) Henry
7) Matt
8) Bridget
9) Zack
10) Trent

(Currently waiting on Bridget to grow to a young adult so the second generation can start.)

~TS4: 100 Baby Challenge~
•1st Generation•
Matriarch- Ginny Strange
-Kids-
1) Marco
2) Emily
3) Gavin
4) Zack

(Currently Ginny's pregnant with the 5th child as we speak and has 12 or 13 days till she ages up to elder, so I'm hopeful I can almost ten or ten kids in this generation still yet.  *fingers crossed*)

To me it seems that this challenge is easier in some ways on The Sims 3.  On The Sims 4 I've had a bit more of a challenge probably cause of the house I chose to use, but in the long run the house will work out pretty well since the bedrooms are large and can fit more beds.

Well, until next time... What is your favorite Sims challenge?  Please comment down below.  :)

Adventures In Gaming: Sim Life

I am a Sims addict, I'll confess.  I've been playing The Sims games since 2004.  My very first Sims game was "The Sims Bustin' Out on the original Xbox.  I played that particular game like crazy!  Between Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Sims Bustin' Out (both on Xbox), I didn't even acknowledge the existence of any other games at the time.

So there's the beginning of my Sims addiction.  It's no different today, except I play the PC Sims games now instead of the console ones.

I just wish that The Sims 4 was more fun to play like The Sims 3 is.  I love the graphics on TS4 way better, but the overall gameplay is so much better on TS3.  Two big things that bug me about TS4: lack of open town map and the toddler stage when having kids in game.
I feel like TS3 gives you a more realistic gameplay when raising kids.  I mean, ya actually feel like you bond with the kids!
Anyone else feel similarly?  If so, then please do comment down below.  I'd like to hear what your thoughts are on this subject.

Adventures In Gaming: Rune Factory 4

I've finally gotten into Rune Factory 4!!!  Took me long enough, didn't it?!  I think the graphics made it a little harder for me to get into this game cause I am so used to Harvest Moon graphics and anything else is "whatever".  I know, I'm quite the picky person.

Once again, a crappy post.  The only excuse I have is that I can't think of anything else to write about...sound familiar?  "Can't think of anything else to write" is pretty much always my problem.  Lol.

Adventures In Gaming: Online Mario Party

Wouldn't it be cool if there were an online Mario Party game you could play with other people all over the world through the internet?  There may be something like that out there and I've just never heard of it.  If so, please comment below and tell me where!

It's just that every time I wanna play Mario Party, I have to play it by myself.  Honestly, I don't really have many gamer friends, especially that live nearby.

Adventures In Gaming: Random Pics

Thought I'd post some random pics from my Story of Seasons game.
In no particular order.

Well, that's all for this week.  Yeah, I know...weak sauce!  I just couldn't think of anything else for this week's post.  Until next time.

If anyone has any suggestions for future post ideas, please share in the comment section below.  :)

Adventures In Gaming: New Animal Crossing Games!

As you may or may not already know, I'm a huge fan of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf".

"Animal Crossing: Home Designer" is coming out for the Nintendo 3DS on September 25th!  Here's the website for more details.
http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/nintendo-announces-two-new-animal-crossing-games/

There's a new Animal Crossing coming out for the Wii U also, called "Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival".  I'm just sad that the Wii U is so darn expensive.  Especially since I first learned about Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town being re-released on the Wii U.  Ummm...whaaaaat?!  I really wish they would've re-released it on the 3DS instead.  I'm sure I can't be the only one who is thinking the same thing.  What do you all think?

Either way, I'm still really excited about the upcoming new Animal Crossing game!

Adventures In Gaming: Story of Seasons- Tips for New Players

I thought I'd make a list of things to do for beginners who have just started playing the game.

  • Save a lot!  I usually save before going to bed at the end of the day.
  • Save scumming-  This is something I do practice.  I try to only save before diving into the rivers and I plan to save before I mine (when I unlock the safari).
  • When you dive into the rivers you'll find six items in each river, daily.  So just keep swimming!  :)
  • As soon as you can, make a second fridge and storage box (maybe material bin, too later on).  You're gonna need it for all the hoarding you're gonna need to do.  You can access all the stuff in both fridges from either fridge.  Also, you can put your storage and material boxes/bins anywhere on your farm with the "edit farm" mode.  I think your fridges have to stay inside the house, though.
  • Upgrade your bag as soon as you can.  Makes hoarding throughout the day so much easier.  Otherwise you're having to go back to your house at least once a day to put the stuff away out of your bag.
  • Jump on rocks and hedges.  Sometimes goodies will pop out!
  • Befriend Eda and see her three events before Winter day 1.
  • Befriend Otmar.

And now, things to hoard:

  • Save 5 milk
  • Save 5 turnip seeds
  • weeds
  • twigs
  • all building materials in general
  • I, personally, save 10 of each crop and produce from my animals just in case.
  • Butterflies for gifts for Eda and Otmar.

***I might be adding more to these lists later on.  This is just what I could think of off the top of my head.

For when you unlock the field conquests:  I couldn't find anything on the internet to explain which fields are which, so I walked to each field in the game and made notes and drew up this key guide.  I hope it helps.  :)

Here's the original size of the pic on my deviant art page "Story of Season Field Key"

And now for the links I use the most for this game:

If you have any tips to add to this, please comment below.  I'm sure I'm missing some that I may not even know about yet.  I'd love to hear from y'all!  :)

Adventures In Gaming: My Top Three Harvest Moon Titles

My Top Three Favorite Harvest Moon Games

  1. Story of  Seasons
  2. Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility
  3. Harvest Moon DS Cute

My Top Three Disliked Harvest Moon Games

  1. Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns
  2. Harvest Moon; GBC3
  3. I don't really have a third one.

I pretty much fell in love with "Story of Seasons" since I saw the first trailer for it way way before it even came out.  I think that game is gonna be a fave of mine for quite some time to come.  If this would've been a longer list I probably would've added "Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon" to the top faves list because at the time, when I was playing PSP games, I was playing it a LOT!  I played it more than "Harvest Moon; Hero of Leaf Valley", which I liked, but it just didn't have the awesomeness for me that "Innocent Life" had.  I know a lot of people just didn't seem to like "Innocent Life", but there was a charm to it for me that was unmistakable: the graphics.  I'm a sucker for graphics.  Lol.

If you're a Harvest Moon fan, what was your most favorite games and most disliked games?  Please comment down below and tell me, I'd love to hear!  :)

Let's Talk About Thoughtlessness

This is one of my greatest pet peeves: thoughtlessness.  In my opinion, it's one of the things that seems to be wrong in the world, along with lack of common decency, manners, and common sense.  Of course thoughtlessness and common decency do tie in with each other.

The people, whom I've noticed in my life, that seem to be the worst at it are some of the people who are supposed to be the closest to me: friends and family.  Time and time again, I roll with the excuses that are given me when I have confronted these persons about their thoughtless acts because I'm a forgiving person.  I'm just wired that way and to go against it just feels wrong, but that means that every now and then I get fed up and wind up needing to vent about it. I don't put up with it with every friend, just the ones that are family that I've known for decades.  Not that that makes it right by any means.

Maybe I just care too much, but once again, that's just the way I'm wired.

Adventures In Gaming: What I'm Currently Playing

So for the first post in this series, I thought I'd share with y'all the games I'm currently playing.  After this post, I'll add a note to each post in this series stating what I'm currently playing instead of writing another post like this.  If I wrote a post every time I switched up the games I was playing, well let's just say, that's all I'd ever write about.  Boring!  Lol.

:::Currently Playing::
Story of Seasons, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Pokemon: Omega Ruby.

I've restarted my games on Story of Seasons and Animal Crossing: New Leaf multiple times.  I seriously need to quit doing that!  I have this thing of not playing a game for awhile and then when I go back to it I restart it for a fresh start, it's so frustrating!  I'm making a real effort now to quit doing that.  Otherwise, when I share my gaming in posts of the games I'm playing it would get pretty confusing.

If there's any games you'd like to recommend or any questions or topics you'd like for me to write about then please leave a comment in the section below.  I'd love to hear from ya!

Stay tuned for next week's "Adventures In Gaming".  :)

What's Been Going On With Me Lately

Well, as it turns out I was having some allergic reactions to the antidressant I was on.  Wound up in the ER twice in the past two months, the latest being a week ago.  The first time my heart got out of a normal rhythm and the lower half of my heart completely shut down, so the ER doctor had to give me a medication in my IV to stop my heart to reset it so maybe my heart would start back up in a normal rhythm...which luckily it did on it's own, but just in case they had all the stuff set up to shock my heart if they needed to.  The joke is since my heart did officially stop beating there for a second, I'm a zombie.  Lol.  Anyways, my psych doctor and I decided that the best thing for me to do was to discontinue the antidepressant and when I go to my next appointment (in a week), he'll put me on a new antidepressant.  So until then...hello roller coaster of emotions!  So far it's been a cry fest.  :(

My bestie had her son, my nephew, on June 24, 2015.  She surprised me and instead of naming him Henry Marcus like she was originally going to, she named him Marcus Raymond.  So now I've gotta get the name Henry out of my head, lol.  He looks like a little sweetheart (due to being ill from the allergic reaction I've been sticking close to my bed- the symptoms have been that bad, yes).

It would be awesome if I could keep my mind focused on one thing for more than 20 mins or so.  I've been having this problem for years, but it gets worse at times.  Unless I get lucky and zone out while doing something, but that usually only works with knitting and it's usually when I'm knitting something very simple, like garter or stockinette stitch.  Knitting can be cool like that since it has pretty much the same effect on the brain as meditation does.  Now if I'm knitting a cable stitch, forget it, getting in the zone will never happen.  I guess it's just a bit too complex for that.  I do like knitting cables, though, cause they look awesome!

I am hoping to start writing more often again here on my blog.  It gives me the feeling of accomplishing something even when my mind is at it's most scattered.  Even when some posts takes days to write (no matter how small of a post).  Well, until next time...

Note: I don't know why the last half of this post appears to be in a different font from the top half.  ???  I've been writing my posts from my phone this past month, so it's not like this is the first one.

New Babeh!!!

My bestie is gonna give birth any day now.  I'm happily awaiting my new little nephew's birth!  I can't wait to see his little face!  Ok, there will be lots of exclamation points in this post for sure.
She's actually not due till July 2nd, but she's been having all the signs that she's gonna have him sooner than that.  My other nephew was born June 19th, 2013 and he couldn't have come at a better time as I had just lost my dad on May 29, 2013.  On Feb. 23, 2015 I lost my grandpa and now very shortly I'll be getting another nephew.  It's strange how it all worked out, but I couldn't be more grateful!  😊

Sweet little Gitzie sleeping next to me at my bestie's.

My Birthday

Well, a couple of days ago I turned 33.  Hmmm...not sure what to think about that.  My favorite number is 3, so I'm gonna focus on that positiveness.  :)

My Plant Is All Grown Up Now

So my Polka Dot Plant is all grown up now and in a big pot of it's own on the front porch.  It had totally outgrown that tiny little pot (terrarium) I started it from a seed in.

Swiss Cheese Memory

As someone with swiss cheese memory issues (due to my mind blocking out quite a bit of my childhood- some memories have come back to me), I find it hard to try to find memories to look back on when I think of my father and grandfathers who have passed away.  I'll remember a tiny bit of a memory and then the rest of it is blank and it drives me nuts!

As an adult I only have memories of my maternal grandfather, so when it comes to my father and my paternal grandfather all I really have are bits and pieces of childhood memories.  It sucks, really.

Like I remember my dad used to play Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" on his acoustic guitar for my brother and I.  I remember seeing him sitting down on the bed with the guitar in his hands, but I can't remember hearing the chords of the music.  Argh, it's so frustrating!

Freaky Stuff!

Friday night I went to the ER because my heart beat was about 180 beats per minute (it went up to about 190 while I was in the ER) and I wasn't feeling good at all: felt really cold, tingling fingers, every breath was just so tiring, and shortness of breath at times.  My heart was beating so fast it I could feel it actually shaking my body back forth when I sat still.  So the ER drs did a full blood panel, urinalysis, chest x-ray and those all came back good (my heart enzymes came back good which means I didn't have a heart attack).  They did an EKG and saw that my heart rhythm was abnormal.  From what I understand something triggered the top part of my heart to freak out and work overtime which somehow made the bottom part of my heart quit working (the bottom part of your heart is the part that pumps the blood to the lungs and body), which explains why I was so cold and the tingling in my fingers, etc.

The doctors tried to some natural remedies to help my heart beat and rhythm, but those didn't work.  The next step was to try this one medicine (for the life of me I can't remember the name of it) that they have to give ya in an iv and get it to your heart quickly as it is short acting.  The medicine stopped my heart for a second (they had the paddles nearby just in case, not like that comforted me very much since I was pretty freaked out lol) and then when my heart started back up on it's own it went back to a much more normal rhythm and heartbeat.  After a couple of hours (they also gave me some blood pressure medicine) my heartbeat and rhythm were normal so they sent me home with some blood pressure medicine in case it went back up.

I've been at home since and haven't had to go back to the ER or take any of the blood pressure medicine and my blood pressure and heartbeat have remained in the normal range, so YAY!!!!

A Weird Dream And Other Stuff

So a couple of nights ago I had a dream that I had cancer and for some reason wasn't the least bit afraid it seemed.  I didn't seem to be in any pain either.  I'm not sure what sparked that dream, but it was definitely strange.  I wish I remembered more of the dream, but alas I don't.

Something that's been bothering me lately:  When a male best friend pretty much ignores you when they start talking to another chick.  I mean, wtf is up with that?  It's like I quit serving my purpose when he started talking to this chick.  It kinda sucks cause I never, in a million years, would've thought this guy would ever be like this.  We've both been there for each other quite a bit...up until this chick entered the picture.  I guess best friendships don't mean shit to some people anymore.  I'm not gonna lie, it hurts.  Especially since I was always there for him when he was feeling extremely down and I always tried my hardest to cheer him up and make him feel better.  I just feel like "So this is what I get for giving a shit about another human being."  Damn.  Like I said on my twitter, yesterday: "Went from sad to pissed off.  Next will be "Fuck off, I don't give a shit.  Bye bye now!"' And that's where I'm at with this situation.  Me and the guy had only been best friends since January 2015, so it's not like it's a very well established friendship or anything.  I just refuse to be disrespected like this.  Now, if we had been best friends for a year or longer...I would've tried harder to keep this friendship afloat.  Guess we're not as much alike as I thought.  Maybe I should've written about this in a post of it's own, but honestly, I don't wanna give this any more time or thought than I already have cause it's just not worth it.

In other news:  My plants are really growing like crazy!  I'll try to take some pics in the next few days and post them.  Apparently, I don't have a brown thumb after all!

Haha, Very Funny Mother Nature

So I just got this new blog set up and guess what happens?  The storms start rolling in again.  I mean wtf?!  It so figures cause it's just my luck...

Any the who...Yeah, so this blog is gonna be pretty much whatever I feel like blogging about.  Pretty much it's gonna be complete chaos.  Real life is chaotic, though so it fits, right.

Until next time,
